As part of its work with Future Skills Centre projects, SRDC is supporting the completion of the evaluation of the Rapid ‘On-the-Job’ Employee Upskilling Project managed by the Work-Based Learning Consortium. Using rapid upskilling (dedicated to current employees) and reskilling (dedicated to the unemployed), Work-Based Learning programs help diverse job seekers – especially those in underrepresented groups such as women and new Canadians – to find or transition to in-demand skilled jobs in industrial sectors. SRDC is using a mixed-methods approach to understand both participant outcomes and implementation challenges and lessons learned.
