The earliest years of human lives are critical for laying down the foundations of who we will become. At the heart of policy for children is sustaining positive rapid brain development, laying groundwork for maturing cognitive and social-emotional skills which in turn determine how we navigate every stage of learning, social and economic life that follows. As we learn more about the diverse ways in which children can be supported to develop, we understand better how to remove obstacles and provide supports that improve outcomes over the short- and long-term. SRDC designs and implements projects to inform the many decision makers holding stakes in each stage of children’s development.
