The Social Research and Demonstration Corporation is pleased to announce its partnership in the Virtual Recruitment & Assessment for the Unionized Construction Industry project, launched yesterday with project lead SkillPlan and fellow partner Canada’s Building Trades Unions.
This project tackles the growing unmet labour demand in the skilled construction trades by developing online tools and resources to attract and connect individuals from underrepresented groups to building trades unions.
The two-year project is one of 30 projects greenlighted by the Government of Canada’s Future Skills Centre as part of a $37-million investment to help employers meet skills gaps and workers gain in-demand skills.
