B. n\u2019ont toujours pas entrepris d\u2019\u00e9tudes postsecondaires deux ans apr\u00e8s la fin de leur secondaire, la Fondation canadienne des bourses d&rsquo;\u00e9tudes du mill\u00e9naire a mis en branle le projet AVID, un projet pilote novateur qui vise \u00e0 faciliter l\u2019acc\u00e8s au postsecondaire. Le projet a fait l\u2019objet d\u2019une \u00e9tude ind\u00e9pendante dont les r\u00e9sultats sont publi\u00e9s aujourd\u2019hui par la Fondation et la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de recherche sociale appliqu\u00e9e (SRSA).<\/p>\n<p>Le projet touche quelque 1 500 \u00e9l\u00e8ves du secondaire de 18 \u00e9coles britanno-colombiennes. Il permet de mettre \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve les strat\u00e9gies visant \u00e0 pallier le manque d\u2019implication des jeunes dans leurs \u00e9tudes, qui constitue un obstacle majeur \u00e0 l\u2019acc\u00e8s au postsecondaire. Le projet consiste \u00e0 placer des \u00e9l\u00e8ves aux r\u00e9sultats scolaires moyens dans des classes pr\u00e9paratoires avanc\u00e9es tout en mettant \u00e0 leur disposition les comp\u00e9tences et le soutien qui leur permettront de r\u00e9ussir en r\u00e9daction, recherche, apprentissage coop\u00e9ratif et lecture.<\/p>\n<p>Comme le montre le rapport AVID C.-B. : mise en oeuvre pr\u00e9liminaire publi\u00e9 aujourd\u2019hui, le projet vise \u00e0 faire passer les \u00e9l\u00e8ves du r\u00f4le d\u2019apprenants passifs \u00e0 celui de participants actifs au processus d\u2019apprentissage et \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper leur pens\u00e9e critique.
